Speaking The Wrong Words

"Isn't it wonderful, sister?" Justine asked, her ears perked up as she hummed and weaved dandelions into a chain. "We're going to have another sibling. What do you think he or she will be like?"

Begonia let out a snort. "Well duh, isn't it obvious what the new kid will be like?" Her deep blue eyes narrowed as she grit her teeth. "It will be either another 'perfect little angel' like you," a roll of her eyes, "or it will be a dysfunctional little tyrant." Like mother thinks I am.

Justine blinked naively, never one to be fazed by her sister's bitterness or harsh tongue. "So do you think it will be a boy or a girl?"

Begonia gave a low grunt and shrugged. "I don't give a shit about what the brat's gender is, it's not like it'll make any difference."

The light purple bunki smiled happily before wrapping the dandelion chain around Begonia's neck, she hummed the whole time, making the bearki even more annoyed. "There! You look adorable!" Justine exclaimed, clapping her little paws together.

". . . " Begonia reached upward and with a flick of a finger, cut the necklace off with her claw, it fell to the ground at her feet.

Tearing up a bit, Justine bit her lip and then shrugged. "Yeah. . .the yellow didn't really match your fur well anyway. I know! How about daisies?! They're white. White will go with pretty much anything." She kept muttering to herself about how the white would go decently with Begonia's fur as she walked off to make a new flower necklace.

Begonia shrugged. She was unamused by her younger sister's blissful mood. "Fuck. . . last thing we need is another brat." She said it more to herself than anyone else.

Begonia suddenly heard her mother's loud growling and before she could turn around a paw slapped her left cheek.

"Don't you EVER talk badly about your unborn sibling!" A very pregnant and angry Éhonté snarled.

Tears filled Begonia's eyes as she stared at her mother and saw a glint of hate in her cyan eyes. "M-mother . . . I'm sorry." She felt a shock of light fear as she tried to back away.

Éhonté only glared at her, teeth bared angrily, she raised her right hand up and out of fear, Begonia grabbed the arm, her paw pushing it down nervously. "Mother, please, I'm sorry. No more, no more." The fear was evident as she pushed away from her mother and ran. No more, no more!
