Description

While outside talking to Mal on the phone when I saw the dirt moving around and something crawling out. Intrigued I got my shovel, pushed it several inches in under where the movement was, I turned the shovel sideways and piled the dirt into a mound.
Nothing.
Scooped up around 4 inches more dirt, out of the dirt pile comes this little critter, I scooped it up in a container, got a glove. It was screeching at me all the time and Mal's yelling "Don't hurt it!" It was afraid of me most notably since it was biting me. It had most likely either just eaten or scraped itself against some of the tree roots or maybe some of the rocks underground, not sure, but on it's nose was a small little cut that had a drop of blood on it(grubworms bite down hard maybe it ran into one of those?).

Anyway after it biting my glove and hating the crap out of me I pulled it close to my face and started talking to it and letting it feel my breath while I rubbed it's head. It having no eyes, was startled at first but stopped screaming and began to wiggle it's nose and nibble on my finger curiously.

I took this picture right before I put it back in the ground. It was perfectly alright. No real damage other than some small marks on the bridge of its nose that might have been naturally caused for all I know since the shovel never touched it.
Its fur was so clean and soft, softer than you could imagine.

Was holding it with my left hand unlike most pictures.

I am not squeezing the mole too hard nor am I hurting it here, moles are most comfortable in tight spaces where they can feel their surroundings. As such it was more freaked out when I'd loosen my grip and would promptly push itself against my hand harder until I'd hold it firmly again.
